7 Days Chimpanzee and Gorilla Safari : Uganda presents a unique primate composition, it is home to more than 13 species of primates and our well-designed trip will lead you to see Mountain gorillas in Bwindi impenetrable rainforest National park that holds half of the world’s remaing mountain Gorillas together with the chimpanzees of Kibale forest National park. The 7 days Chimpanzee and Gorilla adventure begins and ends in Entebbe.

Besides chimps and gorillas, you will have a bonus of other park specials like the Black and white colobus monkey, Red tailed monkeys, Bush babies, L’hoests monkeys, Olive baboons, Forest elephants among others, a trek in both of these parks is so thrilling, as the forests are one of the richest ecosystems we have in East Africa

 Detailed itinerary 

Day 1: Arrival at the airport and transfer to the hotel.

Upon arrival, you will be picked by our company representative who will transfer you to the hotel, take your time to relax as we have more interesting days ahead of the six days safari. Entebbe has a lot of optional activities if resting the afternoon is not an option, you can take a walk into the acient Botanical gardens and beach in search for birds and some primates, visit the beaches or take a boat ride on the second largest fresh water lake in the world (Lake Victoria), it may be a sunset ride, fishing ride or sportful ride. You can also visit the Uganda Wildlife Education Center (ZOO). Dinner and overnight stay at Luxury: Hotel NO. 5 Midrange: Boma guest house Budget: Airport Link guest house Meal plan: Full Board 

Day 2: Transfer to Kibale forest national park 

Following a hot breakfast, we will drive to the western part of Uganda for -/+ 6 hours to arrive at Kibale forest national park. The park covers the largest forest area of Kabarole district, it’s a known home to the chimpanzees and has been dubbed the primate capital of the world by the Uganda wildlife Authority following a concetration of a resoanably big number of primate species (more than 13). Dinner and overnight stay at Luxury: Kyaninga Lodge. Midrange: Primate lodge Kibale or Kluge’s guest Farm. Budget: Kibale Forest camp Meal plan: Full board 

Day 3: Chimpanzee tracking and a vist to Bigodi community 

Following breakfast, We will drive to the Kanyachu visitor center for briefing conducted by the Uganda Wildlife Authority team (30 minutes) in the morning before we head on to track chimpanzees, one hour is allowed with the primates upon finding them. Look out for more primates like the Black and white colobus monkey, red-tailed monkeys, to mention. Returning to meet your guide and head on to another great episode of the day, Lunch and later to Bigodi community for a Swamp walk that also can award you site of more primates and a lot of birds or to the Cultural park of the community so you can see how to make local banana gin, coffee and see how local people live their day today life. Retire and Dinner at the Lodge; Luxury: Kyaninga Lodge. Midrange: Primate lodge Kibale or Kluge’s guest Farm. Budget: Kibale Forest camp Meal plan: Full board

 Day 4: Transfer to Buhoma Sector 

Morning breakfast to transfer to the North of Bwindi impenetrable rain forest, this is a half rough and smooth road but a worth drive through Uganda’s most famous Queen Elizabeth National park and the acient Maramagambo forest (same route will allow you cross the equator line at Kikorongo) all that lead you to the Ishasha sector common for the Tree climbing lions, a -/+4 hours drive will evantualy take you to Buhoma, and check-in and overnight at; Luxury: Volcanoes Bwindi lodge Midrange: Mahogany springs lodge Budget: Silver back Lodge The evening here is a free and resting one but you can always choose to engage in a cultural activity or a Batwa experience (The Batwa were forest men and wemon who used to survive in the forest through hunting for meat, they we talked out for conservation of the Gorillas and they’re ready give you an evening full of cultural experience, dance, cook and build). 

Day 5. Gorilla Tracking  

 Following breakfast, we will arrive at the park headquarters for the major event of the day, tracking is considered a whole day activity and this majorly depend on how far the mountain gorillas have moved or they slept the last evening, it can be tiring to track down the gorillas but one of the most  rewarding experiences you’ll ever have. Gorilla tracking is done in groups of 8 individuals per Gorilla Family per day, so expect to meet new people joining from different travel groups. By end day, on the return you will meet your guide at the exit of your trek and back to the hotel to refresh and dine. Day 6. Lake Bunyonyi

 Morning breakfast and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi in Kabale which is about 18km away from the Boarder of Uganda Rwanda. The drive here is full of scenic views, mountains, tubidy valleys and the forest cover, high chances of encountering Black and White Colubus monkeys, Olive baboons, L’hoest’s Monkey, trails of forest elephants and buffaloes. -/+2 hours of picturesque moments, leading you to Lake Bunyonyi which is the 2nd deepest lake in the region, check in and stay at; Luxury: Bird nest Midrange: Bunyonyi overland resort Budget: Rock resort Bunyonyi Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner The afternoon here is thrilling, you can engage in a Boat cruise or canoeing to see the many islands that embade this beautiful lake or spend it diving or catching Cray fish, or birding on the Lake (this comes with great history the areas around and the people. 

Day 7: Transfer to Entebbe
